Roborace is an open challenge to the most innovative scientific and technology-focused companies in the world. It is very exciting to create a platform for them to showcase what they are capable of and I believe there is great potential for us to unearth the next big idea through the unique crowd-sourced contest.”
The series recently released videos in what will be an ongoing documentary series that offers a behind the scenes look at the work going into making Roborace a reality. The Roborace team doesn’t shy away from showing the difficulties in bringing an autonomous racing series to life. Just like any other racing teams, engineers dealing with computer and battery failures, and other problems. The series organizers understand 2016-17 as the “beta season” for Roborace, their main goal, to continue doing demonstrations with the test cars in order to continue development and familiarize people with the series.
